What would a planetary E.C.O.nstitution
be like?
They are the social movement, the pandemic and a historical constitutional process in Chile, the triggers that prompted us to imagine a meaningful action. This is how E.C.O. “estremecimiento colectivo oculto” (hidden collective tremble), as an itinerant postal work, which expands the experience of the social outbreak of Chile, beginning with The Migrant Objects, which travels contained in an edition of 24 books designed to interact in different countries, cities and communities simultaneously proposing an exercise of reflection on human rights and universal demands.
These packages are sent in a chain to people / custodians of different territories in Chile and abroad, and they are the ones who determine a direct action with the work and its context. Once the action is finished, the custodians assign the assignment to another person to continue with the fabric of the work.

¿Cómo sería una E.C.O.nstitución planetaria?
Son el movimiento social, la pandemia y un proceso constitucional histórico en Chile, los detonantes que nos impulsaron a imaginar una acción con sentido. Así surgió E.C.O. “estremecimiento colectivo oculto”, como una obra postal itinerante, que expande la experiencia del estallido social de Chile, a partir de Los Objetos Migrantes, que viajan contenidos en una edición de 24 libros diseñados para interactuar en diferentes países, ciudades y comunidades simultáneamente, proponiendo un ejercicio de reflexión en torno a los derechos humanos y demandas universales.
Estas encomiendas son enviadas en cadena a personas/custodixs de diferentes territorios en Chile y el extranjero, y son ellos los que determinan una acción directa con la obra y su contexto. Una vez terminada la acción, lxs custodixs destinan la encomienda a otra persona para continuar con el tejido de la obra.

Salimos durante meses a vivir una lucha popular que marcó un antes y un después en nuestras vidas. Participamos de asambleas territoriales, hicimos registros y como trabajadores del arte, recolectamos cientos de objetos, escombros y esquirlas de la Plaza de la Dignidad y sus alrededores. En la aislación del confinamiento y sumergidos en profundas reflexiones, nos detuvimos a escuchar de estos objetos, el eco del estallido. Voces fuertes en coro, como cantos tribales de lenguas antiguas que protegen los saberes y sentires universales de la vida que heredamos y heredaremos. Descubrimos que estos objetos son los talismanes del movimiento y representan para nosotros, el espíritu y la alquimia movilizadora que alcanzamos cuando nos reunimos, organizamos y creamos con convicción. Son objetos cargados de poder que deben asegurarse de no caer en la amnesia y la apatía.

We went out for months to live a popular struggle that marked a before and after in our lives. We participated in territorial assemblies, we made records and as art workers, we collected hundreds of objects, debris and fragments from the Plaza de la Dignidad and its surroundings. In the isolation of the confinement and immersed in deep reflections, we stopped to listen about these objects, the echo of the outbreak. Strong voices in chorus, like tribal songs of ancient languages that protect the universal knowledge and feelings of life that we inherited and will inherit. We discovered that these objects are the talismans of movement and represent for us, the spirit and the mobilizing alchemy that we achieve when we gather, organize and create with conviction. They are objects charged with power that must be assured to not fall into amnesia and apathy.
